Work closely with engagement leaders on resource planning and deployment.
Maximize utilization by identifying imbalances, negotiating, and reallocating
resources to address the issues
Manage staffing conflicts with all relevant parties, providing alternative staffing
recommendations and escalating issues as appropriate
Focus on matching engagement needs with required skills, development
opportunities and engagement risk; meets with client-serving professionals to discuss
development needs and identify engagement and learning opportunities as
Reassigning projects to cope with personnel leaving or joining EY, or to meet
changing client needs (to either delay or speed up the project)
Proactively monitor and highlight unassigned resources to minimize unassigned time
Communicate regularly with Experience Management team and/or engagement
managers on the status of staffing requirements
Help integrate new hires into teams, explaining the resource management process
Use scheduling tools to forecast hours needed for a project, track actual utilization,
and monitor total headcount. Raise any concerns to Resource Management seniors
Participate in region conference calls with US counterparts.
Prioritize staffing decisions based on engagement risk, specialization requirements,
timing constraints, staffing continuity and geographic considerations
Identifying over- and under-utilized personnel, and bring in additional resources to
balance their workload with their peers
Partner with the Talent Team on Performance Management initiatives
Identify performance or morale issues with resources and address with
Counsellor/Counselling Partner and HR as needed
Negotiate with client-serving teams to meet staffing priorities for the region.
Assist with the creation of Service Line, Market and/or Competency reporting
including utilization performance; forecasts; and capacity management.
